1 March, 2009 Re: 'Your Baby Lifted Up'   I am the mother in this picture and the blessed recipient of this priceless gift.  My 20 year old son died on 02/02/09.  This picture was taken of my son and me when he was a baby and was set up at his viewing at the funeral home.  Jeff said that as he looked at the picture and then looked over at me and saw my anguish, this poem came to him inspired of God.  What Jeff could not know is what our Heavenly Father would give me through this poem.  As I read the last verse God gave me another picture in my mind.  The picture  was of me lifting my grown son (20 years old-not the baby son) up toward heaven, giving him back to the Heavenly Father.  In the new picture, I was not smiling quite like that, but the look on my face was one of absolute trust. NEW INSPIRATIONS
The most recent poem that the Lord has given me is not in this book.  Comfort Ahead had already been published.  This picture and poem may remind you of the depth of a mother’s love.  Recently I went to a funeral.  A friend of mine had a 20 year old son die.  She and her husband were heartbroken.  As I was in the funeral home waiting to speak to the family, I saw a portrait of her lifting her child to the sky when he was just a baby.  The happiness and love in her face took hold of my heart as I kept glancing back to the picture.  It would not leave my mind.  A poem come from up above to comfort her and the family.  I ask her if she would give me a photograph of the portrait.  The publisher of Comfort Ahead enlarged the photograph and placed the poem in the perfect spot. We had it framed and gave it to her and the family.  All I can say is thank-you Lord for letting this picture and poem be your comforting arms to hold this mother and family.
